Dr. Anup N currently serves as the Senior Divisional Finance Manager of the Hubballi Division, South Western Railway Zone, overseeing financial operations in Northern Karnataka and Goa.

Prior to this role, he held key positions as Assistant Divisional Finance Manager and Divisional Finance Manager in the Lucknow Division of North Eastern Railways.
An Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer from the 2016 UPSC Exam batch, Dr. Anup N brings a unique blend of expertise, having graduated in Medicine (MBBS) from the Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS). Post-graduation, he served as an ICU Incharge at the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Delhi, for two years.

With a diverse professional portfolio, his core competencies span Public Administration, Government Finance and Accounting, and Healthcare Management.

Beyond his financial responsibilities, Dr. Anup’s role encompasses inspection of railway assets and infrastructure, human resource management, retirement settlements, financial proposal evaluation, and monitoring budgets and expenditures within his jurisdiction.

Dr. Anup has made significant contributions to Indian Railways' modernization and revenue enhancement initiatives. Some of the notable achievements are
•Co- authoring three research papers on the revolutionary concept of transforming the current Broad Gauge railway system to a Super Gauge system.
•Preparing a draft proposal and delivering a presentation at the National IRAS Conclave on Land Monetization to boost railway revenues.
•Developing a comprehensive training plan for Group C Accounts staff across India.
•Leading initiatives for the digitization of cash transactions within the Railways.

In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Anup is actively involved in extracurricular activities such as sports, Scouts and Guides, and cultural programs, where he holds prominent positions, including Joint Secretary.
